Eva
Tzagkaraki was born in Heraklion, Crete. She holds a master's degree in Creative Writing of Hellenic Open University (EAP 2024), a Bachelor's and an integrated master's degree in Visual Arts by the School of Fine Arts of Thessaloniki (1999), as well as a degree in Decoration of internal spaces, Sector of Applied Arts, by department of T.E.L ATHENS (1993). Since 2002 she has
been working as a designer/graphic artist and decorator. She has taught
Visual Arts in Primary and Secondary Education, in many IEK as an Adult
Trainer (with participations as a member of EOPEPP Certification
Committees) and she had presented the «Art History» seminar as a
lecturer in the Museum of Sculpture Marpissa of Paros. She collaborates
with many authors and publishing houses illustrating fairy tales, two of
which she wrote herself. She presented three solo exhibitions,
participated in 39 group exhibitions in Greece, two exhibitions in
abroad, with four distinctions in competitions (one of which was the
distinction in competition and participation at the International
exhibition in CowParade ‘06). She curated the exhibition «Wandering» in
Xatzhgianneio Municipal Cultural Center of Larissa, in 2006. Her works
can be found in galleries, institutions and private collections. She
lives and works in Crete, Greece.
